This summer 3 youth members of The Realistic Theatre Company of Edinburgh will be flying to Kansas City, Missouri to participate in an exchange programme with Ibsen Dance Theater Company of Gladstone, Missouri. Conceived by Barb Frank, Marketing Manager of Realistic and former Kansas Citian, the exchange programme consists of a youth exchange between the two companies. Realistic's members will participate in Ibsen's production of "Barnum" on July 10th, 11th, and 12th after rehearsing with the Kansas City theatre company for 2 weeks prior. Ibsen Dance Theatre Company will be sending 5 young people to Scotland to participate in Realistic's Fringe production of "The Railway Children", August 10th - 29th. EXCHANGE PROGRAMME CALENDER OF EVENTS
Besides participating in the productions, each group will be treated to the cultural activities of the city in which they visit. Activities of interest to teenagers of any country will be enjoyed. The Scottish young people will be in The States during the 4th of July holiday season and will also attend an American baseball game. The American young people will be in Edinburgh during Festival time, the world's largest cultural event consisting of, all at the same time, The International Festival, The Festival Fringe, The Tattoo, The International Film Festival, The Book Festival, and The Jazz Festival. They should be kept very busy enjoying European culture at it's best.

August 6th & 7th - Performances at Aberdour Festival
August 10th - Fringe performances begin
August 12th - American young people return to Kansas City
